Visitor Ban Lifted

Attention Families and Friends,

The outbreak at Arrowsmith Lodge has just been lifted.

Family and friends may visit their loved one as normal.

We appreciate how difficult it was not being able to visit your loved ones during this time.

Just a reminder, if you have not had a flu vaccination, you are required to wear a mask upon entering the first set of doors at Arrowsmith.

Thank you for your commitment and assistance in keeping our residents safe.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Tom Patterson at local 106.

No Visitors Due To Flu Outbreak

Arrowsmith Lodge remains closed to visitors for the safety of the residents, families, and the community.

As per Island Health’s infection control guidelines we are unable to allow family and friends into the building until we are clear of all symptoms for four days.  We are very hopeful that this will allow us to have the outbreak status removed by early next week.

The following remains in effect:

  • For your own safety and the well-being of the residents we ask that you not visit the Lodge or take anyone out to the community at this time.  Although your loved one may be symptom free at the moment it would be devastating to the community should they leave and unknowingly spread any illness.

We appreciate how difficult it can be not to be able to visit your loved ones and will notify families and friends immediately upon the lifting of the visitation ban.

Thank you for your commitment and assistance in keeping our residents safe.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact Tom Patterson at 250-248-4331, local 106 (Monday – Thursday).

We will send another communication on Monday, December 22nd to update you.

Dear Families and Friends,

Arrowsmith Lodge remains closed to visitors for the safety of the residents, families, and the community.

The number of affected residents is decreasing and many have come off isolation precautions. We are hopeful to be clear by the end of the week.

For the time being though, the following is in effect:

We appreciate how difficult it can be not to be able to visit your loved ones and will notify families and friends immediately upon the lifting of the visitation ban.

Thank you for your commitment and assistance in keeping our residents safe.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact either myself at 250-248-4331 Local 301 (Monday – Friday) or Tom Patterson at local 106 (Monday – Thursday).

We will send another communication on Wednesday, December 17th to update you.

No Visitors Due To Flu Outbreak

Dear Families and Friends,

Arrowsmith Lodge will remain closed to visitors throughout the weekend for the safety of the residents, families, and the community.

We have been able to contain the outbreak quite well and have many residents who either are now or have remained symptom free.

For your own safety and the well-being of the residents we ask that you not visit the Lodge or take anyone out to the community at this time. Although your loved one may be symptom free at the moment it would be devastating to the community should they leave and unlmowingly spread any illness.

Sincerely,

Deanna Smith
